Wardrobe supervisor Elinor Bardach gave Pitt a thrift retailer/magpie hipster look — invariably, as you will see, composed of heat and lightweight tones, presumably to counteract the dirty grays and neutrals of the remainder of the movie. It chewed up the vintage-chic look of late-1990s movies like “Swingers,” “200 Cigarettes” and “Go,” and inadvertently presaged The Strokes, TV On the Radio and most of early-2000s Williamsburg.
