Did Raven-Symone Really Call Eddie a “Rude N**ga” in a Classic ‘That’s So Raven’ Episode … Twice?

With the launch of Disney+, many are binge-watching their early 2000s Disney Channel favs for nostalgia and a few laughs.

And with the playback of those reveals with recent eyes and ears, we’re catching some fascinating issues we might have missed after they first aired.

Earlier this week, a Twitter person was watching the Raven-Symone hit That’s So Raven.

As the characters Raven and Eddie get in a verbal argument throughout a street journey, the person was shocked at what they thought they heard Raven slip and say not simply as soon as, however twice!

“Omfg Raven really slipped in ‘JUST LIKE A RUDE N*GGA’ twice in her argument with Eddie and Disney ain’t even notice”

The fan went on to stan Raven in subsequent tweets, naming her “the Queen of Disney.”

Upon additional inspection, many famous that Raven seemingly says “fruity n*gga” as a substitute of “rude.”

Eddie’s comeback references of the pink automotive the three mates are driving in and the flamboyant musician Little Richard helps the corrected semantics, albeit very problematic.

Either approach, the truth that Raven went full mad black girl and uttered the slang time period “n*gga” on a kid-friendly Disney present not as soon as, however twice stays.

The episode in query is titled “Driving Miss Lazy” and aired through the present’s fourth and last season in 2006.

Raven-Symone and Orlando Brown (Eddie) would have been round 21 and 19, respectively and will have felt grown and rebellious throughout this explicit adlibbed scene.

But even given That So Raven‘s enormous popularity at the time and the freedom that may have come with it being the network’s first authentic present to surpass 65 episodes, one has to marvel how this main gaffe slipped previous producers, script advisors, editors, and even Raven and Brown!

Neither Raven nor Brown have commented “N*gga-Gate” for the reason that clip has gone viral.

I’m positive many extra Disney+ subscribers shall be listening even more durable for beforehand unnoticed humorous slip-ups and mishaps as they re-watch their favourite reveals and flicks.
